The Root Center

Our Mission

The Root Center is dedicated to the easement of the basic stressors of human life (providing food, water, shelter, energy and community) through the intelligent application of simple technologies, thereby building a cornerstone for a worldwide network of abundance to give every human being the time and dignity to lead fulfilling lives and elevate the quality of life for all.

We will integrate nature and technology, traditional and modern. In this process we will enable profound community development through a strong foundation of the basic infrastructure of community living. Community centers will be established to provide the tools and resources to explore humanity's creative potential.

About The Root Center

The Root Center is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in the state of Vermont. The organization will create a network of community-run organic farms integrating sustainable agriculture, design, and energy.  Fostering dynamic cooperation between groups and individuals, these living laboratories will cultivate year-round crops of organic produce for donation to food shelves, outreach centers, and people and places that need it, while energizing, inspiring, and strengthening the connections of the surrounding communities.  TRC is proud to say that we have grown and given away over 8,000 pounds of organic produce and are currently growing many thousands of pounds more in Lincoln, VT.  Please read The Plan for more information.
